This week, we have the AMD Athlon II X2 240 processor sold on ZipZoomFly.com for $59.99.  One great thing about the Phenom II and Athlon II processors is they work with AM2+ and AM3 motherboards.  This means you don’t necessarily need to shell out the money to buy a new motherboard and new RAM if you currently own a AM2+ motherboard.  It also means you can choose between DDR2 or DDR3 to fit your budget if you are building a completely new system.  Also saving you money, ZipZoomFly.com has “build your own combo” deals allowing you to package a motherboard and RAM.

Taking a quick look at hwbot.org, you can see that this processor can reach 4200 MHz on air, which is a 50% increase.  If you are in the market for an AMD processor, this is a very good choice.
