Well, the title sorta says it all. I know we cant tell performance differences yet, but how would you guys think that overclocked PC 1066 with only agp 4x of the 850e fare against ddr-333 and agp 8x of say, the p4x333? Would the extra agp bandwidth or extra memory bandwidth win?

the difference between agp 2x and agp 4x is negligable, perhaps 1-2 FPS at the absolute most (likely less). Assuming that will be true between agp 4x and agp 8x as well, i would say the pc1066 RDRAM would give more performance.

also there arent any agp 8x cards available on the market yet (although ATi's r300 will probably be agp 8x/4x/2x and it will be out aug 10 andNvidia's should be out between november and early 2003) so agp 8x would presently offer no benifit at all.

It really depends.
If your going to play video intensive games all day...
or use memory hog games?
Or if you video edit, or just type in Word....

It really depends.

personally, I'd like duel DDR and AGP 8x
