OK my new rig is up & running

First thing I did was to replace the north brige heatsink with a 50mm copper heatsink with 50mm fan and chrome guard - also put AS3 - used reatiner clip again - looks really good

Next I wire pin modded the 2.26b - took my time and used a very thin wire

Next installed chip with thin & even AS3 - carefully installed Swiftech - cant beat the finish of the bottom of heatsink & their installation screw method - then put Tornado 80mm 84cfm fan with grill guard

Installed everything else and heres where I am at

Flashed to Mr. Natuals bios with 2.32 HPT raid

ram timing by spd
pci bus set to 37
strap set to high
dram ratio 1:1
cpu voltage set to standard volts which shows 1.77 in Abit bios
dramm voltage set to 2.7 which shows in bios as 2.68

And the results are

Running stable at 178 fsb = 3034:D :D :D :D :D
This speed is on air - ok load air but none-the-less air!

Temps from Abit bios cpu 48c system 33c :D

P4 2.26 info
pack date 5/31/02
malaysia
batch L210B354

I really think I will be able to do more went to 150 - 160 - 170 - 178 didnt even touch the cpu voltage - I stopped at 178 figured Id let the rig burn in a bit

This is the best MB I ever had!

Update

Now at 180fsb & 3068mghz running XP stable - using same standard bios voltage reading 1.77v

http://publish.hometown.aol.com/cqiricoh/images/3068mghz.jpg

Unreal on air - im sure will go more with increase in volts

It is running very stable still at this speed - zero freeze ups or crashes

My 12v line is very low 11.6 and I am getting a beeping warning from time to time - happened twice so far today

Have a two year old Enermax EG451P-VE

I remember reading a review about P4 overclocking and after the guy wire pin wrapped the P4 he got beeping and had to get a larger PSU

Can I mod the Enermax or should I get new PSU - If mod any how to links would be appreciated - If new your recommendations.

Also if someone remembers this overclocking review could you please point me to it

Thanks

Really nice O/C and impressive FSB. only one thing isn't the default Vcore of NW PIVs is 1.5V? If so then you are running 0.25v over stock, that could be the result of that impressive o/c. But still some kewl nums

You really can use of 3 : 4 (CPU : DRAM), that will give you a much better memory bandwidth.
(that's what i am using:D )

I am using BD7II-Raid with corsair PC3200 too. So you give a try, in PCmark2002 you can get a much higher memory score by using that setting.

I have one question, where did you get that "Mr. Naturals Bios"? Will it give me a better OC resault??? If so, please give me a direct link to where i can download it.
thanks

I got the bios from this forum Intel MB - Abit mb - sticky at top for BD7 & Th7

But I think the link has been down dont know why - The 7C bios which I am using also had the HPT 2.32 bios in it

I have to get a new psu my 12v line is very low only reading like 11.6v

I understand that PC Power & Cooling psu have externat pots for all lines anyone ever use one?

I'm considering giving Intel a run because I've reached the Vapochill's limits as far as AMD cpu's go - I'm curious to know how you're 12v lines are with the Vapochill, as it sucks up a lot of the 12v itself. If I make the switch, I'll have the BD7-2

Please let me know it goes and how you're voltages are.
