Paint cd drives or not?

ok i just odered this case a few days ago and i just started thinking that my cd-rw and dvd and white and are going to look bad. is it easy to do a good paint job? would you just say don't worry about? i don't really wait plain balck drives b/c al the lettering is black so nothing would be left. can i get decales or something anywhere?

damn that does look good. good job. but see on mine the dvd logos and all that stuff are just paint so it would be just straight black. so did you just take off the fronts and paint them? spray paint? can you tell me more. it just looks soo good.

ok min use to have tha type of painted writing on them! but i just painted on top and rememberr to use a thik layer cos otherwise it will look messy!

Just so you know, the Antec/Chieftec cases are not black. They are a more charcoal. Here, this should give oyu a good idea. I used black spray paint. Also, the paint is not as bright in this pic; it was the flash from the camera, since it was a new coat. But you get the idea.

oh i didn't realize they were not actually black. i did cheap fedex shipping and it has been sitting 10 minutes away in st. loouis MO at their warehouse since Friday. well i already bought a can of black spray paint then i was out. i will use it for now and maybe get some grayer later.

If you want to match your Antec/Chieftec style case, look for a black spray paint w/ no gloss. I used a semi flat black to paint my drives. Matches my black hydraulic tower exactly :p

I don't have a digital cam or a scanner. I have a webcam though. Quality sucks but if you want one, I'll get it back from my friend.

They are right about it being charcoal. If you are really serious about matching the faceplate and the case bezel you could just paint both:D

well after 3 coats my floppy drive looks great. my 2 cdroms however are still a wrok in progress. i am doing all this on the floor in my garage. after i put the third coat on i got up and slipped and kicked saw dust all over them. have to start all over. going out to clean them off now.
