Audigy, XP, and Inspire 5300 combo problem

I have a sound blaster audigy gamer with the creative inspire 5300 speakers on windows XP...

The only time i get all 5 speakers to work is in the Audigy Experience software that comes with the card.. other than that, im getting 2.1 sound in everything else.

I know everything is plugged in right sence i get 5.1 sound in the audigy experience demo..

Is there anything you guys can think of that is making everthing else 2.1?

The sound your playing may not use 5.1 or 4.1 sound im guessing

are your speakers digital?

if so you may need to set them up as digital in the soundblaster settings.

no, the speakers are analog... and my friend has the same speakers with a Live 5.1 card and he gets 5.1 with anything... Im talking about mp3's are 2.1 and so are games

I got those same speakers/soundcard, but havent been able to fully blow the roof with them.. ;) but they still sound great :)
Anyway, i think is cause you havent set the speakers up..
Goto the audigy control panel and there is a drop down box that you have to choose which kind of speakers you got (5.1, 4, 2, headphone, ect), so what you goto do is choose 5.1 and you done..
