Connecting one drive to each RAID channel will give best bandwidth so you don't have to share a controller and cable for both drives.

The manual should also give you a simplified instruction set on how to get it set up. I would follow the directions it gives, they are the most straightforward of any you will get.

As far as specifics which it may not go into, such as stripe size (block/cluster size), the default is usually the best for all around speed. This is 64K. You can go lower than this but I wouldn't recommend going higher unless you are working with extremely large files.

If installing Win2K or XP, make sure to watch at the beginning of setup for pressing the F6 key for any 3rd party SCSI drivers...you will need to hit that key or it will not detect your controller (XP may if it's an onboard Promise controller).

You will have 80GB of usable space if using the RAID 0 option.

Just read the manual.
