Windows 2000 pro can't automatically change REFRESH RATE ???

when I change Res in win 2k pro, I have to manually set refresh rate to the MAX... In win 98se , OS automatically did that... Is this normal for 2k pro ???? Also when I play games in Direct 3d and open GL , I can't get my refresh rate to 100 mhz .. In win 98 se all my games run in 100 mhz , . I think I'm using drivers 11.01 ... Anyone has similar problems with 2k pro ?

I have the same problem with 2k pro even with a banshee card. You might try installing the specific monitor drivers instead of the default drivers if you haven't done so already.

Its a bug in Windows 2000 and SP1. The only refresh rate available in those versions is 60Hz, no matter what your monitor supported. Install SP2 and that'll solve the problem.
