Fan making strange noises

my video card's fan has started making strange noises on and off. its an elsa erazor x2 geforce ddr. its the retail HS/fan/ is it about to die?!!!

Maybe, my gf 256 sdr fan got loud after about 1yr of use. The blue orb will work fine if you want to replace it but it might block the pci slot next to it depending on the motherboard.

If you want strange noises then you cant beat the fan in my burner. ive has this thign for 4 years and now its makes REALLY WIERD noises... (its about 15mm)

this card does have a 6 year warranty. but i'm sure a blue orb would be a much better investment at $10.

any suggestions on a cooler that would not take up another pci slot?

Teenamax or something like that makes a thin one.
Its like $20.00 I think that is good enough for that video card.
