Does anyone know if an overclocked P4 will run faster with a 256mb stick of Corsair XMS3200 or a 512mb stick? Or does it even matter. The reason I ask is, all the tests I see are of 256mb sticks. And I noticed that the XMS3200 is rated at 2.5-3-3-6-T2 and the XMS3000 is 2-3-3-5-T1. Would the 3000 overclock better with the better timings? I'd like to hit 3ghz with a 2.26.

Thanks,
SoL

I can tell you for a fact the Corsair pc2700 uses 7.5ns Samsung chips and the 3000 and 3200 both use the same ic and 6ns chips.

Like placid said they basicly run pretty close to one another, just be sure to buy the 3000 or 3200 over the 2700 ;)

Another option is to buy Mushkin as its a little cheaper and they use the same chips

How does the Kingmax pc-3200 compare to the Corsair xms3200? Is the Corsair worth the extra $20-25? Can the xms3200 run @ 400mhz @ cas 2 althought its rated at cas 2.5?
