F*ck i think i killed my mboard while i was cleaning the foam off of it!!! i was using my knife to get a majority of the foam off then i used a toothbrush and alchahol to clean it once i got down to the pcb but i think i might have nicked a circut path or something.

when you hit the power button the fan spins up for about 2 seconds then power cuts off

nope its a cracked cpu core!!! damn it. atleast the price on amds droped last week

yea the power clicks on but just breifly then it cuts off. like 1 or 2 seconds at most

I had that problem, w/ my brothers business computer.

Ended up being the PSU. A cracked processor wouldnt make it spin for only 1-2 seconds, INFACT a computer will turn on and everything will spin W/ Out a processor.
