just been running memtest 2.9 to try and figure out if my pc 2100 256meg memory module has any errors as Windows XP won't install and I hear it's very fussy about memory. A few errors were reported on test3 and then an error reported on test 4 when I ran the test at nother time. I switched the FSB of my 1900+ from 133 to 100 and the errors have disappeared. Anybody any idea why the errors would dissapear and how to stop them at my CPU's correct speed?

I also ran the test a couple of hours later at FSB of 133/133 and the same error on test 3 with the exact same address came up.

Here's some detailed system info.

sounds like you have to change your memory settings. i had errors with 2-2-2 (cas latency, ras to cas delay, ras precharge), but after changing to 2-3-2, everything is fine. i originally increased all three settings to make sure it was the memory, then checked each setting on its own to find the best settings.
