View Full Version : Alternative way to unlock XP's ??

In the sticky about unlocking XP's someone mentioned cutting off a certain pin on the CPU, similar to what a golden socket does, to unlock the processor. Anybody have any idea which pin this is, I might want to try covering it with electrical tape to see if it works.

Maybe someone with a golden socket can compare it to a CPU, see which pins are missing.

Edit: Iv just been thinking about this again, and realized that the golden sockets still require that the chip be unlocked, so it wouldnt make any difference. Never mind, just ignore this thread.
