Hi to all
if anyone help me i will really be in his debt
i just need to overclock my
P4 2A on a M/T Asus P4B266-E
To overclock this cpu you need to enter the bios and then change the fsb of the cpu in small incresments of 5 Mhz.Then stress the cpu with some benchmarks or games to see if it can handle the extra Mhz.If after hours the cpu dont lock up you can continue to raise the fsb with caution. With this cpu you can go up to 2.7 Ghz.

Hi & Welcome to the forums
(geia sou patrida)
You use the jumperless mode....and overclock through your bios.
1)Raise your fsb with small steps up to 5mhz at a time.
2)Test your system for stability after that using Prime95 (http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm)
and 3dmark2001se....or any other programm that streches the cpu (full load)
3)Repeat step 2 everytime you raise your fsb
4)When you reach a level that your pc is unstable....giving errors,
blue screens...ech
then raise your core voltage...and go on with step 1
5)At some point you will not be able to raise any further your fsb no matter what core voltage you provide
6)Also at that point even a 1 mhz fsb raise can have results...you will have to experement.
**Extreme caution at your tempratures**
especially if you are using the Intel HSF...try to keep them up yo 55C under full load.
Your cpu is not going to o\c @2.7....at least not easy.
Expect to reach an fsb of about....120-125mhz
Good luck
