I'm getting ready to setup a new Computer with a spare motherboard. I have an Abit KT7A M/b I was think of setting it up with an Athlon 1800 XP. So I came up with a couple of questions. I currently water cool, is there any realistic advantage to adding a peltier to my setup? If so what size? I have an ICE-74 from my Celron days. Also is the Northbridge cooling currently on the KT7A good enough for higher FSB speeds or should I get a better HSF? If so any recommendations?

Thanks,
Clinth

Unless your CPU likes running low voltages a 70watt pelt wont be enough.

most people use a 220watt to cool a XP at higher voltages.

The advantage is that you will get a increase in overclock and you can say on the forums "Im a peltier user" :P

Personally I dont as my machine runs 24/7 and im scared that a peltier system will set my house on fire :P

Also if your running a 220watt pelt at 17v you need a high wattage dedicated PSu to run it from. They can be expensive.
