Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't PC 2700 DDR supposed to do 166?

This samsung I just bought won't beat my Crucial 2100...

what's the serial number on it? is it DTL or CTL (which the later is the older chip).

the CTL generally do better than the DTL chip. they can do 200+MHz easily. but there's mixed result on the newer DTL chip tho.

Well, I have settled for 150, with a 10.5 multiplier on a 1.3 Athlon. It isn't a bad overclock, but no matter how low I take the multiplier, it won't go much over 150. Argh.

BTW, this was OEM Samsung from a local shop. It doesn't have a DTL or CTL label on it, but the numbers on the chips are similar to those I have seen elsewhere, like at Newegg.

The chips read as follows:

Samsung 217
K4H2808380-TCB3
