Since Intel has stopped producing the 1.6A, what´s the latest pack date ?

was working on a 1.6A today (July 5th) and it had a pack date of
May 17 2002.

In an other thread "Maxvla" bought a 1.6A with pack date 20/05/2002....but the cpu inside was manufactured 21st week of 2001 !!!!!

I think they are pushing in the market some early left overs of their plants.

Maybe you should wait until the newer optical shrinked 1.6A hits the market....from what i know early August

How do you check the production date from the FPO/Batch ?

Just check it on the box where the sticker is right at the FPO/BATCH section.

The latest pack date I got for the 1.6A was 05/17/02

I've been hearing...and reading a lot...about this totally false fact.
Intel hasnt stopped producing the 1.6A !!!

They have stopped production of this exact type of 1.6A.....and continue with the new stepping + optical shrink....only difference
nomore box versions..?
