Heh.

Corsair "guarantees" their XMS3200 does 400mhz at 2.5-3-3-6-2T. It does precisely that. If I try to run it at a more aggressive memory timing, or if I try to run it at 401mhz, it crashes.

Oh well. I guess 400mhz isn't bad or anything, especially considering there isn't yet an "official" DDR400 spec.
 
Have you tried increasing the vdimm at all? My corsair xms3000 will do over 200 mhz(have tested at 208 but couldn't keep it because of agp tearing).
