well today i was asked a question,

I understand what PC100, PC133, PC150, so on mean but how do they figure out PC1600,PC2100..

well after thinking about it i came up with this answer.

Hex uses base16 and it seems to me that if you devide say 2100/16 you get the tested FSB (132 is what it equals)

i tested this theory with PC1600,2100,2400,2700,3000,3200 blah and it all seemed right.

Does this sound correct to all of you or is it just way off guess??

i know hex uses a = 10 b = 11 so on and 2700 = a8c i think.. but anyways..??
thanks

nah.. you take several things and multiply them together... don't remember the steps.

SDRAM=pc100,133,150,166 all refers to MHz.

DDR=pc1600,1800,2100~3200 all refers to Bandwidth(MBS-MegaBytes per Second.)
