I have been tweakin my XP system a lot tryin to milk the most 3dmark points out of it so i can finally break 9k so i have been reading up on the services you dont need. anyone know what this service is? what will happen if i disable it?

hmm... after runnin 3dmark with the services disabled my score rocketed from 8600 to 8883! I doubt that changing that one service will make it jump another 117 points (hehe) but i would still like to milk out more performance out of my machine.

still does anyone know what this is?

btw for those who want this increase also i am using win xp and i followed this sites guidelines: http://www.blkviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm

guess i will have to wait for the new detonators to come out before i get 9k hehe.

The only referance I can find to "Nvidia Driver Helper" is that it causes WinXP to hang during shutdown. Nvidia dosen't even have any mention of it on their site.

That sevice is not nessesary, disable it;

thats good to know but the site says nothing about what the service actually does...


and it takes almost no resource at all, at least on mine 36KB.
