I think he meant that he would buy it then pay every one for using the forums.:)
I have read the star/ranking thing, but I am confused. Today/tonite I went from 2 star yellow/registered to 3 star orange/member and I am pretty sure I don't have that many posts. But reading the criteria further, it talks about quality posts vs non-quality posts, does that facture in?

One of the facts of life:
Everyone has a price.
I bet skip, Joe, and Ed would sell it all for a mighty hansome sum ;)

Quality vs. non-quality posts factors in for Senior Membership, not just the orange star membership. I clicked on your "profile" button on the lower left of your message and saw you have 107 posts... 100 posts is the cutoff so yes, you have more than enough.

$1k US in Skip's pocket might do the trick....
Or writing the BEST POST EVER might do it.

I doubt it.
They're losing money on it as it is. That's the only reason they're even accepting donations at skip@overclockers.com (hint hint :D)

Nope. That's where the being helpful part comes in. You have to be noticed by other seniors, mods, or the Admins. You can have under 100 posts and be a senior or 5 million, no difference.

Dan you also have to be in the forums for a set amount of time. There are a lot of smart and helpful people in these forums that aren't seniors so it might be hard seeing that you are a pretty new member but keep helping people out.
Want to become a Senior Member? Here is what the moderators and staff look for when appointing Senior Members: (In order of importance)
1. A willingness to help others, particularly when an individual has little personal interest in the topic or problem. As when a Senior helps a beginner with a problem which has been discussed many times in the past.
2. A demonstrated patience and reserve in dealing with disagreeable people.
3. The ability to discuss or disagree in a topic on the basis of REASON rather than personal attacks, which never further knowledge, but can only wound hearts.
4.A reasonable to good back ground in overclocking and cooling combined with a general knowledge of hardware as a whole.
5. Approximately three - four months in our forum. Time to demonstrate a continuing interest in our forum and allow us to determine the presence of the afore mentioned qualities.
Skip and this site RULES:D
