I have a Asus A7a266 and a Epox 8k3a+ both are
supposed to support 1.2 266fsb Tbird.
Works fine with default bios in Asus,
Will not even Post in Epox 2 any setting??????
I can get a XP2100 to work in both????
any advice out there ?????
The Tbird is locked in at a 10* multiplyer>

I'm afraid I can't give any explaination, but I can let you know that, though a rarity, this does happen occasionally.
I had an old Cellie once that for some reason would only work in an old BX board I have. Tried it in like three other mobos that would deffinately support it, but no go

Try the latest BIOS, it could be a Multi problem.
Other than that it is really puzzling me.
You could try unlocking the CPU to set a different multiplier, you never know your board may have trouble recognizing that particluar multi.
Thats weird:eh?:
