View Full Version : unlocking a 1800+
I just bought a new computer with a a7v333 mobo and a amd 1800+ and I want to o/c it but my bios say if I put it on manual that I have al the multipiers and fsb
It displays them, but it won't change them if you try to; your mult will remain at default
You have to connect the L1 bridges to truly unlock your processor. Is the substrate of your processor green?
you mean the place between the dots.

I'm guessing brown because that aint nothing like green. :D
Well, yes the bridges on the chip itself, dots and traces to the other dot. In this case we have to use something to fill the pit, and then use something to conductive to actually link it.
I recommend you read the sticky at the top of the page, it will give you a variety of ways to unlock. The most popular being filling the pits with super glue and using rear dogger repair kit to connect the bridges. A pencil won't work because the resistance on the bridges won't cut it for a pencil.
