i want the best sound possible out of my comp because i will be watching lots of movies and will probably incorporate it into a home theater system eventually. Sound cards dts decoders always seemed lacking from what i have heard from them and i was wondering where i could find a sound card that is compatible with a real dts decoder.

DOH i am having a bad day i put it in the wrong forum kick me PLZ :)

the closest I have seen would be a sound card with a good digital out so you can hook it to a real decoder....I have yet to see any sound cards do a really professional job with home stereo stuff.

then again I have not been looking:D Tech Report (http://www.tech-report.com/reviews/2002q2/soundcards/index.x?pg=1) just reviewd a bunch of cards, maybe one of those would fit your bill :D

Creativelabs is making a DTS 6.1 Audigy which should be released in September. Hope that helps..
