I have a question about the Emprotx.dat file associated with EM3. The proteins that I am currently folding are not listed in the file included with the WinZip download version 1.8.3. I went to the website and tried to download a new copy of this file. I was not able to download it via the link, so I saved the webpage of the file as a TXT file and renamed it. I then restarted EM3, but it still does not recognize the proteins that I am folding. The proteins are listed in this latest file.
How often and when does EM3 check this file? I am using FAH3 final version. Thanks.

I belive you can input the data regarding that particular protien manually by editing the file though notepad or a similar program. Weatherman put out directions on how to do it. I've never done it, but all you have to do is follow the format from other proteins.

go back and right click on the file and download it to your em3 folder

Once you've saved the file to the EM folder, you have to restart EM so it will load the new file info. That may be the problem.

Thanks guys, that seems to have done the trick. I don't know quite understand what the difference is between right clicking/saving the file and the way I tried originally. But apparently, it does make a difference in how the file is saved.
Thanks again.

It has to do with the file type associations you have on your computer.
