I just got my 8K3A+ and Corsair XMS PC3000 up and running. It's running at 185 MHz and CAS 2-2-2. The problem is, my memory scores in sandra are 2246 Int/2112 Float. The processor is a T-Bird 1.4, and I know XPs get better memory scores, but this is almost as bad as PC2100!!

Okay, I rebooted, and my score went up to 2482/2374... Better, but still nowhere near what I was expecting.

That Epox board is notorious for low mem scores... I think its known that the Epox 8K3A has slower mem timings.. I bet if ya threw that stick in a Abit KX7 it would be much much higher... Might not overclock as high though cause the Abit has faster timings.
I seen this first hand cuase i own and use both the Epox 8K3A+ Raid and the Abit KX7 Raid...
Ya might want to try different bios... the 2412 i think it is is good and also the newest one the 26something is good as well.

Thanks, I'll try out some different BIOSes, and see what I can come up with. I'm currently using the 2619 BIOS.

very true, the older bios for the 8K3A gives MUCH better performance....
and i get nearly identical scores on my KX7, a testament to Abit:)
oh at 160fsb
I would definately look into that prob, you should be getting scores like this
2500mb/s
2300mb/s
Also check that it is running at a 1:1 ratio
