Hi
I have two LG 17" 795plus hooked to the card (8500LE 64MB)
The monitor that is connected to the VGA out is ok but the one on the DVI out is flicking - bed ...
I tried to change between them and got the same, the screen that is connected to the DVI out is flicking.
Its a card issue not my monitor.
- Refresh rate 91.3kHz/85.1Hz both on 1280x1024.
- no overclocking.
n e idea ?

On the DVI out, are you using the Digital output or an adapter to analog?

The first RAM DAC is 400 Mhz built into the GPU for the 8500's. As far as ATI was concerned, the second output is an optional one that the manufacturer needs to attach.
This means that the 2nd RAM DAC your using could be just about anything that they decided to use. I would say that your 2nd RAM DAC is either Faulty or bad quality.
The only thing that might save you is if it's the adapter that is causing the problem and then all you would need is a different one.
Either one of those two issues could be causing it.
how did you connected DVI cable in to 8500le dvi connector. Mine does not fit. Apparently 8500le isdvi connector has some pins missing....it sucks

He must have a different make then yours. Yours only has digital out, meaning they never added another Ram DAC to the optional output.
apparenty there are two types of DVI sockets: DVI-I and DVI-D. 8500le has DVI-D (all digital) while DVI-I is digital and analog. But whay would LCD panel have DVI-I cable and connector, it supposed to be all ditital, yes?,
God only knows.....

You LCD can prob take both a digital signal or an analog siginal. That is why it is a DVI-I connection.
Just get a DVI-D cable and plug it in.
Here is one from CDW (although it is pricey)
