from what i have read (no experience hands on) AIRGA is best stepping and with a unlocked cpu and water cooling prolly a little over a 200mhz overclock

the only stepping so far is AIRDA and it runs hot as ***** and overclcoks about the same, mine got sent bac on day 2
62 c idle and 205mhz overclock, pretty sorry IMO

yeah thats what i meant AIRDA not AIRGA...
there is AIRCA also which wont overclock more than 100mhz

so the AIRDA is the best if i get the other one ill test it out and if it overclocks nowhere then ill rma it but i orderd from newegg so im hopping thier reputation on giving out the best steppings pays off

It's pretty sad... considering a 1600 can OC 300Mhz quiet easily on air, and now it's only $66 shipped....

ya but u have to think is this a 1600 on eriler steppings like agkga or is this a agoia Y or aroia ? see once the tbreds get better steppings i bet thell overclock nicly but for now i cant wait anylonger all these delays from being releasd so i have to get one if it wont over clock to 2 ghz then ill rma it but if it does then i wont . I'm hopping to get 2.1 or at least a little over 2 gig since ihave water cooling

ok to set the record straight...there are 3 steppings for tbred. AIRCA was the first, shortly after came AIRDA and recently there is AIRGA but they are a little harder to find. For anyone that says there isn't an AIRGA there have been numerous forum posts where people have AIRGAs and are asking questions about them or showing their overclockign results.

yeah i would not be surprised if when the last stepping of the tbreds comes around the 2200's would be able tot hit 2.1ghz easily on air...
look at the 1600+ palominos... their first stepping AGKGA made i hard for them to get 1600mhz on air w/ 1.85v. now look at people hitting nearly 2ghz on them with agoia y and aroia y steppings
Newegg has been shipping AIRGA week 24 or later for a week or two now. AIRGA runs 2.0 or a bit higher on high quality air cooling.
From what I've seen, AIRGA and AIRDA do about the same. AIRGA might be a little better, but there is a lot of overlap.
