Hey all.

Just wondering, besides the names and boxes, are there any differences in the actual card in the different Audigy models?

Is an Audigy MP3 any different from an Audigy Gamer besides the name and software? What about the base model Audigy?

Thank you

Hey I just found an OEM model, and the connectors on the back are colored, not gold like the retails...

Does this cause any performance decrease?

Theoretically, gold connections are capable of retaining better sound quality (provided all connections are gold, those on the cable too etc)... in practice it doesn't make a noticable difference on a PC sound card's output imho.

That would be the break-out box, which comes with the Platinum versions. OEM or retail is irrelevant here.

The only differenc I've seen is the software bundle supplied with the different versions. As far as the livedrive goes I think it is cool to have if you use the midi and all. the headphone jack is cool for you late night gamers too. It's hard to qualify the cost though.
