DMI pool problem

The mother board is ATC 440BX i tried 4 HDD's and recorded the following

1) 20gb WD .. (mobo detects only 8GB and hangs on DMI pool)
2) 4GB Samsung (Detects but hangs on VERFYING DMI POOL)
3) 6.4GB Quantum Fire Ball (Detects and works Fine)

Questions
1) Why do my Mobo Hand at "verifying Dmi Pool Data" ?screen
2) where can i get HDD low level Format utility for Quantum Bigfoot TS?? i cant find it on matrox/quantum site?

I used this on my Quatum 30 fireball...

When that happened to me, a couple of days ago, it was one of those pins in the hdd was pushed in and not making contact..

but what about the DMI pool error ?

coz all of those hardrives are working in other comuter!
