whenever i load my favorite searching site, google, and search for something my computer locks up and freezes for 5-10 seconds.
after that it seems to be fine. I tried this on other search engines as well and it does the same thing. This is kind of anoying since i have to wait for my searches.
one theory i had was some stupid spyware program was on my computer recording everything i searched for and sending it out to big brother. i ran ad-aware and it didnt show anything so i guess that theory is wrong.

Has anyone else experienced this? help pls!

Sounds like the browser is freezing up every time you submit a form. Try upgrading your browser to the newest version, or try a different browser.

http://www.opera.com
http://www.mozilla.org
http://www.netscape.com

are some alternatives.

I use Mozilla and Opera 99.99% of the time, using IE6 only when a page won't work on either of them.

You will come to no harm trying them out, you might, like a lot of forum members, find them easier and faster to use......;)

I definately find Opera better for viewing the forums, webcomics and the like, where I can just close it, and when I open it the next day, it'll re-open all my pages back to where I was..

I only use IE for speratic use, when I want to only open one page.
