Creative Platinum soundcard with Win 2k

you aren't running adaptec cd creator 5.0 by any chance are you if so you need a patch. there is another thread in general software taht has some troubleshooting may help you out. have you gotten sp2 that might help too.

running adaptec ver 4.05 (latest update) and SP 2. It's a shame to have so many options available from such a cool soundcard and not be able to use them

what exactly is the problem? I am using this soundcard and windows 2000 and am not having any problems...

various problems... i.e. the remote control software doesn't work all the time, the software that came with the card doesn't work at all i.e. eax, the toolbar disappears, etc.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a patch either from creative or MS

I don't use the platinum, but the card is the same...

I use the liveware 3.0 software available for download from creative's site... it has an updated windows 2000 driver and most of the bare software. Perhaps installing this and then adding any of the platinum software will do the trick.
