hey y'all

wanting to cut down the price of my rig a bit, i have decided to get a lian li pc-60 instead of the pc-70...

this means that the space above the PSU is gone and now i dont have a place to put my BlackIce Extreme radiator...

i did find one place on the pc-60 that might work, so i'll ask you guys...

would it be ok to mount it on the top, where the 80mm fan hole is? i dont want to have to make any holes that arent already there, but modifying one would be just fine...i could just take the top piece to a metal shop and have them do a nice hole for pretty much nothing...

my followup question is: will it hold there with two 120mm fans, one blowing, one sucking? or should i find some way of securing the radiator to the top (other than fan screws...like bolting it or something)?

yeah that would work, you might want to try putting it in the bottom front of the case unless that's where your pump is going. I used twistie ties to secure my two fans on my BIX and that worked fine too. can you get some pictures of where you plan to put this stuff (picturs with the actual case) I have a feeling your CDroms and what not might be getting in the way.

If you don't use more than one or two hard drives, you could remove the cage at the bottom of the case and put your rad there. Then just mount your hd's in the 3 1/2" bay above it. Lot's of people do it this way.

You can trim the bottom of the hard drive cage a little...

In my Lian Li68 I fitted a reservoir and a radiator (BIX) outside of the case, on the top of it.
