OK, my dad needs some computer help, and I am really stumped. When he turns on the computer, its boots, but there is video signal getting to the monitor. The monitor only displays a self test box that says to check the cables or PC. Can't change the cable since its hooked up to the monitor, monitor works fine on other machines. There are no system beeps whatsover, WTF?

OK, good. I thought the processor or motherboard had gone bad. Thanks
WTF? A dead vid card would produce 1 long beep and 2 short beeps, on most mobos. At least it'll beep.
No beeps could mean that the processor is dead...
