I have just recently installed a Pine Excalibur NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 64MB on the Tyan Trinity 400 S1854 Mobo. Before my computer is run on Voodoo3 2000 PCI, and after i switch over to the new card which is an AGP, my mobo starts to boot up without video display. Neither the keyboard nor the mouse seems to power up at the boot.

I try to reset the CMOS, but nothing seem to work. There was no beeping for the error either. Now my computer is in a paralyzed state and can somone please be so kind to give me some hint to this problem.

PS. i have a Pentium III 450 on it.. can anyone please help? :(

Bad news! Will it boot up with the old PCI card put back in? If so, are there any settings in the BIOS for AGP?

i solve by sum fluke luck and rountine.
There is one rountine that seems to work: first i put my old card in and take the AGP card out, reset CMOS, then put both cards in..

well.. there is a setting that allows me to choose the primary display devide ( choices being ASP or PCI ).. and weird thing is that it is already set to ASP.. so that leaves me kinda confused.

oh well ...
still i can't figure any way to fix this problem if i ever have to try to fix the problem without the old card. That means before that, i have to keep both of cards.

I guess that is my only option out for now...

btw.. thx for answer man... appreciate it :)

Very strange. If there is a BIOS update available for your board, I'd try it. It sounds like just the sort of odd problem that an updated BIOS might solve.
