Hey all,
Is Matrox still the leader for a dual monitor setup for photoshop and other 2D app?
Thanks,
B.
I would go for a dual head Geforce2 mx. They are inexpensive and great for 2d.

Matrox is good. I think their latest release has 2D acceleration technology. I'll look into it

Hi
I have both Matrox G400 MAX and GeForce 2 MX DH Pro, and I have a problem with the DH Pro trying to get it to run true multi view. ie one monitor at 1280 x 1024 and the other at 1024 x 768. It will only run both in a combined resolution of 2048 x 768 which is not good. But the Geforce is a much, much, much faster card on all fronts as I do a lot of Photoshop work and 3D stuff like Maya, Softimage and 3D Studio Max.
I run Windows 2K

If you want a 2D powerhouse get a Matrox. Either the old G400 or the new card.
There is a big arguement in the 3D world on who has the best card. But in the 2D world there isn't a card that 3DFX, nVidia, or ATi make that can even come remotely close to anything with a Matrox name on it.

We need more cows. Mooooo ???
My $.02
The geforce gives you gaming and 3d ability, but from what I've seen and been told by matrox owners, is that the 2d of the Matrox cards is far superior.
If gaming or rendering 3d, go for the card I have. If not, spend a couple extra bucks and buy a top of the line Matrox.
