if anyoen is having tons of troubles with tons of stuff a fresh install does wonders ooh i feel so good and calm now.
Yup. But the pain comes into the picture during the 3rd fresh install of the day. Sometimes it just don't work the first (or second) time around.
Like today, fussing with a stubborn NIC is forcing me to fresh install 2 computers tomorrow morning because I've changed and installed them so many times, I just got too much garbage in there now. <yuk>
I would not recommend installing ICS with a satelite modem.;)
Glad yours is doing well......
nic problems? my realtek plugged right in.. no drivers needed. it was 5 bucks at newegg. maybe its worth 10 bucks (shipping) to get one that works.

It can be very slow, but you get everything back to the original configuration, no need to update drivers, tweak windows, install essential software etc, and you don't need to babysit your pc during the process, windows xp has a system restore feature, but I don't trust it
