You know what REALY REALY SUCKED............I had both of those...... and another MSI..... 4600- delux---- all died...... now stuck with MSI :-)

asus has announced that new cooling system over a month ago, finally they released it, huh! unfortunately i could not find anything about overclock in the review but i do expect to read any others. ive seen with evga that this kind of stuff might only be about look, not performance, but asus is not evga. i hope they have something else than only to show up the card.

Ummm, how was that possible? I find video cards very hard to kill unless you smear AS all over the card.

i couldnt find where in the article was how high the card overclocks but actually numbers are under SmartDoctor and Tweaking: 320/710.
anandtech just got 320/720 with the ultra model then it seems like nothing else other than just good looking.. thats not cool asus!

Personally i like the chaintech better, and i agree that it doesnt show, ever if you have a windows, the card is still upside down.

I could do without the gold where the VGA connector is, on the chaintek that's a little to much. It's not like anyone looks at the back of your case.
Looks do matter when you have a pimp case like mine.

Thats a Razor Boomslang 2000 dpi mouse..takes a while to get use to the feel and sensitivity but once you do it performs like no other. So much that its been banned from game tournaments.

omg, you like Chaintech. I have a Chaintech mainboard in this machine and I hate it. I can't even overclock with it. I can from 900mhz up to maybe 990mhz and then i cant reboot any more. IMO chaintech products all suck and I'll never buy anoth one of them. Next main board I get is going to be an Abit or Asus and there is no way I'll put a chaintech vid card in there either. Gotta be right from Nvidia no questions asked. No third party crap or anything like that.

i'd say more like banning jet turbine engines in autoraces...(they had to do that cuz a guy absolutly dominated a race with one...until he blew a ball bearing but otherwise he would've won by a sickening margin...) ANYWAY the boomslang is sweet mouse i got a 1000dpi and it's especialy with on the flu sensativity...I can snipe like a mad man.

that ATI card is good , but someone posted a link to a New Maxtor Video card here about 3 months ago or so and It was crazy fast. I think it was Maxtor, I could be wrong.

Maxtor, LOL. I get 'em mixed up as well, its Matrox. They released the Parheliea. Its about as fast as a GF3. They went a little overboard with the on chip transistors, 80 million, on the same size die as current Ti's, .15 microns. It was just too fat!:D It Compared to ALL graphics cards/graphics processors ever produced, it is near the top. It has unmatched image quality, though the only reason it is as fast as it is is because it uses 512bit GPU and 256bit memory. They target it is a combonation graphics card/workstation card, :rolleyes:

I thought opticals were werse for gaming than ms wheel mouse. I have a logitech optical, It feels way better, but my gamung seemed to suffer, so I went back to the wheel mouse. I was thinkin one of those razer's would be nice!!!

Im assuming that by the time that nv30 is released, ATI will be able to knock the r9700's price down to $300, while the nv30 will be around $400. I just dont understand why anyone would spend $100+ more on a card that with very little performance increase. Does the fact that the card is from nVidia make it special/better?

The NV30 won't be released for about 5 mounths and will most likely outperform the R300(otherwise nVidia is in deep shiit).
So of course it will push down the price... Don't really see your point

This all means nothing unless, there is some amazing game that is gonna come out.
All these new cards are useless unless you really need them, i don't see any reason to buy the new NV30 or the 9700
Nismo Nate- u got a pretty good point there. It would be great to some games that can really use all these new features.

comanche 4 is the only game to even tax my geforce 4 ti 4400 and the 4600s aren't even affected by it. There is something about AA that makes me angry and i have no desire to play at 1600x1400 plus the fact i don't need 1000fps at 1280x1024 when i won't notice ANYTHING over 60

Ya..it aint banned from every tournament but it has been banned from some. To hear that its the official mouse of quake3 tournaments should prove to people that its a kick ass mouse.

parhelia may suck compared to the ti4600, but it still ain't bad, and tell me what other card can offer triple head (3 monitor support)?
i have a matrox g450 and its great for dvd but sucks for games..dual head would is a nice feature to have, but i don't have a second monitor (my card has it). my dad has an unused 15" monitor that i may hook up just for the hell of it.
