if i add voltage to my ddr will it increase its speed?

i have a stick of generic (no name brand) 512/2100 ddr that is actually pretty good. and i was wonder if i up the voltage to it through my bios will it make it run faster just by that alone or is their some thing else i need to do?

Increasing the vdimm for your ram will not make it run faster but the voltage increase will allow you to run the ram at higher speeds. To run your ddr faster you can increase the fsb(in Frequency and Voltage Control). Increasing the fsb will in turn make your ram run at a higher speed.
 
Basicly what everyone is trying to say is that if you try to run your memory higher then its rated and its not stable, uping the voltage a little or max 1.85 will or might help in making it stable at higher FSB speeds.
