arggg choices

i my 1600+ met with a fatal death:mad: , http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104192 neway, bottom line is that i ahve to oreder a new one from newegg, i hear that good steppings are in abundace at this point form newegg, my question is, should i sick with 1600+, or get an 1800+

i put the first thread in the wrong forum, thought id get more responses in cooling, you guys shouuld have a better idea, 1800 or 1600?

In your place, I'd go for a 1600+ from newegg. Tismedt just got a 1600+ AGOIA from them. It does depend on dumb luck what stepping you get, though, so don't bet the farm on it.
If you can't stand to have anything less than an 1800+, then buy that ,but I doubt that you'll notice a big difference between a 1600 and an 1800 @ stock.

BTW, before I completely read the title of your post, I thought that arggg was a new stepping. :rolleyes:

If you don't plan on unlocking, go for the 1600+ since you will be able to up the fsb more. If you're going to unlock it, I'd lean towards getting an 1800+ since it will be able to at least run at stock and be faster than the 1600+. But like IdeaMagnate said before, there won't be much of a difference. If I were in your shoes, I'd rather go with a 1600+ since they're cheaper, but that's just me.
