I have an Enermax EG465P-VE PSU in a Asus P3B-F MB with a 533 O/C at 850. The Asus probe and BIOS power readings give me a PSU fan speed of 1500 RPM. This is 500 RPM below the monitoring
minimum 2000 RPM level.
I have looked at enermax's website and this forum for what would be a reasonable Fan speed for this or any other PSU with no success.
If I warm the PS with a hair dryer the speed rises to 1600 RPM so the internal fan speed/temp adjust appears to be working but the RPM's SEEM low?
Can anyone tell me what their readings are on PSU fan speed from this or any other power supply.
Thanks in advance.

what is the make model of the fan????

maybe you can find out from that, but that does seem low, then again i replace all my psu fans with 50cfm ones anyways......

or maybe there is a problem with your monitoring software

is your ps running hot???

does it feel warmer then it should???

if it doesn't, i would tend to think that it is just a problem with your monitoring software, not the fan or powersupply and i would not worry about it,one of my computers always registers the fan rpm's lower then they are, in bios my cpu fan rpm's are 1500 rpms lower then they should be

Thanks for your help, I been told PS fans normally run in the 1500-1600 RPM range. I just got a bit perplexed that Asus PC probe's latest ver would have a min of 2K RPM. I'll toss it out and reload MBM. Thanks again.
