i got two cellies lying around: one is a 900 (128k cache) and the other is a 1200. The default voltages for each are 1.75 and 1.475 respectively. What would you recommend as the maximum long-term voltage for each? long term meaning about 2-4 yrs b4 upgrade.

that all depends on how hot you are runing your CPU....
I ran my 900 at a max of 1.95V, that is also the max i would run my 633 at for long periods of time.....
And that was with watercooling....
I wouldnt go past 1.9V with Air, 1.85 if you wana play it safe.
My 1.1A doesnt seem to like more than 1.7V....
but once again, the MAX safe voltage you can run your CPU at really depends on how hot the CPU's are getting....
I will say this.
If you are really worried about killing the CPU, dont raise the voltage at all. As raising the voltage is only safe withen reason. So if you cant afford to break it, it might be best left alone.

i can't give you much info on the 900, but here's some info on the 1200:
sl5y5 running at 1576.50 MHz @1.675 and 35C at full load

that looks pretty good, you shouldnt have any problem with that...
BTW, what are you cooling that CPU with and how are you getting load temps?
