I am now running at a fsb of 147. It drives the agp and pci like mad. But can this damage my hardware? My computer ir ock stable!! Is it better to run at a fsb of 150?
You'll be fine. FSB can yeild stabilty problems, not chip-damaging problems. It's the heat and voltages that can kill things. People regularly run at FSB's over 180, some over 200! If it's stable you got nothing to worry about as far as the FSB goes.

You'll know if it becomes a problem, random lockups and so forth, so as long as things are stable don't worry about it, things cannot get damaged at that Fsb:D

generally with the 1/4 divisor it is safe to run up to 155FSB because from 156-165 you risk hard drive curruption.
with the 1/5 divisor (need a KT333 board and generally a unlocked cpu) it is safe to go up to around 190 fsb
Emerica is on the ball with that one, perfect example of my situation, when on a 1/4 divider 155fsb is stable for months while slowly data corruption sets in and I have to reformat, but on the 1/5 divisor I can get 185fsb no problems at all.
I've never had any HD problems at 164. I'm using PC2100 too, I guess I'm a lucky ass. I got an upper model IBM drive for video editing work, that might be helping.

So can I ask a question the
Is the reason why windows about every tenth startup asks to check one of my dive becasue I am running a 155fsb and am on a 1/4 divider, and if so is there anything I can do about this?

what windows are you using XP? if so then i have no clue how to fix it.
my friend has xp pro and even when it was not overclocked that disk checker popped up every single time he turned on his commputer. there must be a setting for it somewhere.
