Making a Reservoir (Live PC)

Just for any of you who haven't yet seen this:

Not bad. It may be easier to fill the system if the OUTLET was on the side closer to the bottom of the res though.

Well dependsing on the application it might seem like a waste of time...

I don't know how much he spent, but I'm pretty sure I spent less than he did.

all I needed for my res was 2 barbs, some sealing goop, a 1 gallon paint can + lid, a 1/2 pipe with cap and a drill

If you were to seal up around the barbs and the fill spout and the spot where the cord enters the lid, the can should be airtight. If paint cans were not airtight to begin with your paint would not last very long.

Er, I meant around the actual lid, it looks like it's coming off. The barbs look solid. =)

Oh, that was like that for the pic.. I had just finished sealing the barbs and all and took it out to take pics ;)


Seals just like a paint can, tap down the lid and it's nice and snug, however since I have 1 gallon of water and any evap I do get shouldn't be a problem I just slapped duct tape all over the lid so no leaks from my res :)
