I assume you're in the US.....(you could help by filling in your location in User CP)
You could check out the sponsors on both the forum and Front Page (http://www.overclockers.com), remembering to tell them where you saw the ad. (helps the forum!)
Other than that, I buy my stuff in the UK......:)

I've bought from KDComputers.com and Googlegear.com and received quick service. I've also used Neweqq, Plycon, MWave, BestByte, and Directron. MWave has just been very responsive to a mobo problem I've just encountered.
Everyone has their own approach but I tend to go to
http://www.resellerratings.com/ and check their rating. Price isn't the bottom line for me but is certainly important. If you order enough stuff, sooner or later you have a problem. Bad experiences have made me painfully aware that getting problems solved can be very important. Thus I do pay attention to that part of the rating and will pay a few more $s to a company that reflects excellent customer service. I also consider shipping. I've found UPS has a 50% chance of screwing up my shipment for a day (coming into NM) but Fed. Ex. is rock solid and does deliver ahead of schedule once in awhile. This story seems to reverse depending on where you live. But other things equal, I'll pick a seller using Fed. Ex. :D
Good luck with your new system and HAVE FUN! :burn:
next time post this in vendor discussion :)
Mwave and Newegg are both very good.

i just bought parts for my machine from tccomputers.com. they ar a division of Insight, which is a big company. prices are reasonable and there is a FREE option to integrate the cpu motherboard and heatsink/fan if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself like i was.
if you do go there, use SEARCH to find parts. their menus on the left do not show all of their available inventory.

www.newegg.com
Bought my entire rig from them last week. Lightning fast shipping (2 days from LA to Iowa), good prices, good packaging, all parts worked just great, huge selection, and they're puttin out AGOIA Y 1600+ right now, it seems!

garaski hit the nail on the head. Everything you want is at Newegg for about $1200 delivered, stateside. Why pay 3 vendors shipping and also take the risk of something going wrong.
I have been very impressed with their service. Building systems on the side this is where I go. So far over $8,000 in parts, no problems.
