Just finished setting up my server computer (see sig for specs). Os is win xp pro. In the device manager there is only one yellow question mark and it is for the USB Controller. I know for a fact that the usb 1.1 controller works cause i have my keyboard and mouse hooked up to it so i am thinking the USB 2.0 is not working. I know for a fact that usb 2.0 does not come with win xp by default and i remember a few months back there was a patch released my M$.

I did windows update and installed everything and the usb 2.0 was not installed from there. I have a MSI i845G mobo btw if you cant read specs :)

Either wait for SP1, or use this page for instructions:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q312370&ID=KB;EN-US;Q312370

It's not a really public patch, so you'll have to pull it off the Windows Update Catalog, not the normal WU.

hehe it is not a real "server" so to speak it is the server of the 4 computers i have hooked up to a home network. My dad is a website designer and he needed a stable computer that will give him very good performance in photoshop and he said it had to be intel. so i got him that. no overclocking is to be done
