We OC the much more sensetive videocards to the max. Why should a proc be that much harder.

yes o/c'ing the cpu isnt hard.

getting max cpu AND max fsb, with the best combo of memory timings at said fsb is where it gets a bit tricky.
volt mods can be a small pain when u have to solder too.

well that isn't very optomistic :D think of it this way... if they overclock then they fold more proteins for the folding cause, if they get how??? back they fold more proteins for the folding cause...

yeah no one wants to be 2nd or 3rd either :D so lets get the news out about folding and get some people to join and shoot for #1 !! if have the active members folded we would put putting out some great numbers. i am going to see if i can get an editorial in the local newspaper about folding. hopefully it will spark some interest in the community and i can then direct them to here. As far as i know i am the only one in my area that folds:eek:

I agree with you fully, Mr_Scrub. Both my grandmothers suffered from Alzheimer's before they died. One of them wasn't too bad, was just to the point where short term memory was gone but the other got to the point where she didn't even recognize her 2 sons and her daughter, much less us grandkids. It's a gruesome thing to watch someone you love slowly deteriorate from this disease.

Hmmmm Rage3D doesn't have a SETI team I don't think, so everyone there either folds or doesn't do anything at all. We could steal #1 very easily if we could get alot of SETI converts. :D I'm trying to convert one of my rich friends that has lots of computers but so far no luck. If I can we would get these.

He has many more machines crunching than I do folding. I'll keep at him though; he is bound to crack sooner or later. I only have 2 boxes folding right now and that’s not even 24/7, a P2 400 and a P4 1.3 ugh. :( I agree with you about SETI though, people are wasting their CPU time on something that might be doing absolutely nothing. At least we know folding is working for a good cause, where as the founders of SETI are analyzing things that may not mean jack ***t.

I would feel guilty if I were Yodums. I just bought MOH:AA and haven't even played it very much because I feel guilty about it sucking up all my CPU power and making the WUs take days and days.
