What was the circuit size of the Eprom?

There is a whale of a difference between a 64KB EEPROM chip and .13 CPU etching! I've burned my share of EEPROMS over the years and can atest that they can take some hellacious temps before failing... My experience was in the '80's but even then they could take some heat!

He just encouraged some yahoo to go fry his system. Sheesh...

hmm, this is a very good article except for this:

However, based on some models, its reasonable to expect the mean time between failure of any given chip to be about 18181818 hours or be roughly 2075 years.

yah, whatever, Mortin. Or mayeb it was Kanti Bansal? Anyway, the hard drive info makes sense tho.

icrontic is a very cool but very shady site, be careful what you believe from there :D :D
