View Full Version : Is Sandwiching Heat sinks to a geforce 2 mx necessary?
I have a Visiontek Geforce 2 mx 64mb(not MX400 or 200!). I was planning to overclock it to the highest possible. And I read in someplaces that people sandwich them. I was wondering if it is necessary. The bottom of the ram is just solder dots.

I just attached my old coolmaster fan on top of the heatsink with thermal tape and it cools it just fine, no need for massive cooling until you get the GeForce-3. Just my opinion.
