and i must say that it is one of the most beautiful things that i've ever seen!

unfortunately i'm buying this computer from paycheck to paycheck so it'll be a while till i get the rest, i'm thinking 1.5 months or so..check the siggy.

i borrowed my friend's digital camera for case mod pics and just couldn't help myself! too bad there's no 2.26b in there too!

i just can't believe how tiny the socket is. i was expecting an athlon-like mamma-jamma sized socket..suprising but cool!

later

Hope i can o/c to at least a decent fsb speed

the only problem with the th7-ii that i can see (cause i was about to get it too) is that for now, you have to get two sticks of rdram to make it work. and on top of that, the fsb on rdram rarely can get over 150, 160 tops. i know that with ddr i can get upwards of 180 at least. i know that rdram has better bandwidth but i'd rather have high fsb, because with high fsb the memory bandwidth becomes as good and better as pc800 rdram.

good luck though.

better than pc800??? hmmmm..... I dunno. Some people cranked up their 1.6's pretty high. That kind of bandwidth would be hard to beat with ddr

thats odd, mine came in this box.:D btw, if you are getting 512 meg of mem, get one stick, the bd7II does not like 2 sticks for overclocking. its on the main page in the review of the board.:D

yeah jc i'm planning on getting 1 stick of 512mb corsair xms3000...i think 2 256mb sticks would be more expensive anyways. i can't wait to get this beast together!

jeff

edit: when did you get your board with that specific box?

I think it has to do with the World Championship Soccer which was held in South Korea and Japan Jeff

Yeah, I got the soccer box, and there's an inflatable ABIT soccer ball in there, too! Will come in handy for the summer holidays! :)

I feel cheated  , since my BD7II-Raid was in a Black and Blue box without any soccer ball. Maybe I should rma it for the ball. It does still run ok without the soccer ball, though. :)
