1600,1200 resolution and higher?

ok.... i have a GeForce 256 and when i was running windows 98 i could run the resolution up to 2000,1000 (something like that, i forgot the exact size)
well, anywho... after i downgraded (yes, downgraded) to winME, i can only get a max of 1600,900. and i know my monitor can do more because i've ran 1600,1200 on this monitor before.....

does anyone know how i can get it higher??

Thats weird, have you tried different drivers? Did you loa the correct monitor drivers?

windows SE and ME screw up and get my moniter wrong all the time, I just pick a generic moniter driver that fits the description.

Try a program to change for res. that might work, i remember on my old monitor i could set it to 1280x1024 when windows would only alow me to do 1024x768. try cnet or download.com.

the highest generic monitor driver i found is 1600x1200
but when i load that, i can still only get a max of 1600x900..

and i found a program a while back that is for overclocking videocards (nvida ones only i think) and it let you switch between different resolutions. but i havent been able to find it..... any know where i can find it??
